Friday 29th October
Join us in the spooky gardens of The Green Place for 2 hours of Halloween themed short films and other fun.
From 6pm we will be showing 3 short spooky films, including It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown. All films will be shown outside in the spooky garden!
There will be fire pits around the garden on which to safely toast marshmallows (£1) and a chance to make some free shadow puppets to project on screen.
Try to find all the pumpkins on our 'Torchlit Pumpkin Trail' (bring a torch).
This year why not make your own 1 -2 minute (max) spooky short film on a mobile phone? We will then show the best 5 that night on the big screen in the garden. It can be silly, scary or funny. Live action or animation. You decide. Just have fun with it.
For the adults, there will be a bar and a BBQ. The cafe will be selling Mulled Apple Wine, bottled ales, hot chocolate and other soft drinks as well as hot winter soup.
Bring your own chairs, torch, and picnic or takeaway if you wish - and wrap up warm.
Why not book a pod for the event to eat and drink in?
Pods are first come first served, so to book one for the evening, please phone Darren 07963 277865
The available Pods are: Bus Stop, Sunnyside & Honey Cottage all at £15.
(please note, the pods do not have a view of the screen but it's a great place for parents to eat your picnic and stay whilst the kids enjoy the films).
Ticket Price £6 per person in advance. This includes a £1 booking fee which is non-refundable in the event of cancellation.
Gate opens at 5pm
Films start at 6pm
Event finishes at 8pm
Friday & Saturday 10th & 11th December
Come and see Santa's Magical Grotto. The Green Place garden will be transformed into a magical Christmas Wonderland with twinkling lights and Christmas Trees and lots of fun thing to see and do all included in your child’s ticket price.
While you wait to see Father Christmas, you can watch festive short films on our big outdoor screen or sneak into Santa's front room to see what you can find there.
After your visit to Santa, join the elves in their toy workshop where your child can make something to keep or give as a gift to someone special.
Then there will just be time have a go at shadow puppetry and toast marshmallows around the fire before heading home.
Food and drink available to buy, including beer and mulled wine for the grown ups.
Finally, as if that wasn't enough, your visit will support wildlife and the environment at the local nature reserve in Cossington because we will plant one tree for every child who visits.
Last year's event sold out within a very short space of time so make sure you book early so you don't miss this very special magical experience.
Lots to see and do so please allow at least 1hr for your visit.
