Folk Heroes - live music and film
Friday 10th June
Join us for a special evening of live music from two fine acts ending with a concert film.
The live music opens at 6.30pm with ‘Steve Cartwright’, a singer songwriter with an extensive breadth of songs which will make you laugh and cry.
This is followed by another Green Place favourite ‘The Gerry Farrow Band’, with host of songs to warm the heart, coloured with evocative vocals, spine tingling guitars and hypnotic percussion. The Gerry Farrow Band will uplift and excite you.
The evening will then be rounded off with a screening of the classic concert film featuring the finest folk acts from the Newport Folk ''Festival' Film of 1967. Bob Dylan; Joan Baez; Peter, Paul and Mary; Donovan; Howlin' Wolf; and Johnny Cash.
An evening to delight the senses that you won’t want to miss.
As ever there will be a bar with fine beers and wines, delicious food from the café, and fire pits all set within the magical setting of The Green Place garden.
