Friday & Saturday 10th & 11th December
Come and see Santa's Magical Grotto. The Green Place garden will be transformed into a magical Christmas Wonderland with twinkling lights and Christmas Trees and lots of fun thing to see and do all included in your child’s ticket price.
While you wait to see Father Christmas, you can watch festive short films on our big outdoor screen or sneak into Santa's front room to see what you can find there.
After your visit to Santa, join the elves in their toy workshop where your child can make something to keep or give as a gift to someone special.
Then there will just be time have a go at shadow puppetry and toast marshmallows around the fire before heading home.
Food and drink available to buy, including beer and mulled wine for the grown ups.
Finally, as if that wasn't enough, your visit will support wildlife and the environment at the local nature reserve in Cossington because we will plant one tree for every child who visits.
Last year's event sold out within a very short space of time so make sure you book early so you don't miss this very special magical experience.
Lots to see and do so please allow at least 1hr for your visit.
Friday 10th & Saturday 11th December 6pm - 8:30pm
For an experience of The Green Place without an audience with Father Christmas and the workshop, we are introducing a later ticket so you can enjoy the atmosphere and magical setting here at The Green Place. Walk around the garden illuminated with lights and projections, warm yourself by the fires whilst enjoying a mulled wine or hot chocolate. There will be some festive short films to watch on the big outdoor screen including classics like Laurel and Hardy’s Big Business as well as more recent seasonal shorts to get you in the mood. Take a peak into Father Christmas’s front room and see what he does when he is at home. What will you find?
As well as a bar, plant based burgers and hearty soup will be on offer at the café, which you are welcome to eat in any of our garden pods. Take part in the free ‘Shadow Puppetry’ and any children will get a marshmallow goody bag to toast around the fire, or popcorn for vegetarians/vegans.
These later tickets do not include a visit to Santa or the ‘toy workshop’ although you may be able to buy a workshop ticket on the night if there is space. Please ask on the night.
There will also be a small selection of stalls to browse, selling a variety of great gift ideas for Christmas.
Event from 6pm. Closes at 8.30pm
Children £6.50 (includes free shadow puppet making and marshmallow toasting)
Friday 17th December 6:30pm - 8:30pm
It’s time to get into the Christmas spirit with this special film screening of the festive feelgood movie, It’s a Wonderful Life starring James Stewart.
Experience this classic in our candlelit cinema room, in front of a real fire and seated in comfy chairs whilst enjoying a complimentary glass of mulled wine and a mince pie (or non-alcoholic version, hot chocolate or stollen). Just like in the old days, there will be a short festive film before the main feature which will start at 6.30pm. It’s the perfect way to start your Christmas.
Cakes, nibbles and extra drinks will be available on the night but we will not be serving food before the film (so have your tea at home first!).
Tickets £10 (limited to just 30 people)
* Please note that our upstairs cinema room is only accessible by stairs.
